His role was unique in the preparation of the Revolution of '21.
Among his many and very important teachings is this one:
«We, who are faithful Orthodox Christians, must always observe the fasts, especially the Wednesday fast, because on Wednesday Christ was betrayed, and the Friday fast, because on Friday He was crucified. It is likewise our duty to observe the Lenten periods, since the Holy Spirit Himself enlightened the Holy Fathers of the Church to establish them, so that we may be able to overcome our passions and subdue the body».
