The Pontic dialect is an invaluable treasure of the Greek language!

Thousands of our compatriots speak Pontic, and hundreds of Saints from Pontus are included in the Diptychs of the Saints of our Church.
One of this multitude of our Saints is Saint Sophia of Kleisoura the Pontian, whom we thank for her intercessions to the Lord with the publication of the first Orthodox book in the Pontic dialect.

For Saint Sophia and our Pontian people, and with the help of God and Mr. Nikos Avramidis, we have created the first fully polytonic Pontic font; we warmly thank and congratulate Mr. Nikos for his generous contribution of time and labor.
