She came from Cappadocia and was from a noble family.
At a very young age, she left for Constantinople to marry Emperor Michael; however, on the way to the City, she visited Elder Ioannikios, who told her that he saw her as a nun in the future. Indeed, the Saint went to the Holy Monastery of Chrysovalantou, where she was soon elected abbess. She lived a highly ascetic life.
Christ gave her the gift to work miracles and, whenever it was soul-beneficial, to foresee the future. She fell asleep in the Lord in a holy manner at the age of 102.
