“Glory to God for all things!” How many times have we heard and said this phrase, sometimes with all our heart and other times half-heartedly! This famous phrase is a saying of Saint John Chrysostom. Saint John, who endured many hardships and tribulations, is the one we commemorate every time we have the freedom to perform the most important act that a human can perform on Earth, the Divine Liturgy, during which, as appropriately as possible, we approach the Holy Chalice prepared and are united with the only Savior of the Human Race, Christ! In these unexpected days, during which abortions are permitted and the Divine Liturgy—the sweetest act that a lowly human has the unique privilege of performing—is forbidden, we are releasing the “Small and Orthodox 98,” dedicated to the Saint through whom Christ granted us the Divine Liturgy that bears his name; the way, that is, to receive His Holy Body and His Precious Blood.

This golden-mouthed Saint was persecuted, slandered, mocked, mistreated, and exiled. It was there in exile that he fell asleep in Christ, on the feast day of the Universal Exaltation of the Precious Cross; however, his feast day was moved to November 13th to avoid the coincidence of his Dormition with the strict fasting of the Cross.

With this “Small and Orthodox” booklet, we will learn the basics about this most important Saint, and may every time we too say “Glory to God for all things!” we feel it to the depths of our souls!

16 fully illustrated pages, 11x11 centimeters, soft cover.
