A Turco-Albanian invader tried to force her to betray our sweetest Christ; however, the brave New Martyr Chrysie resisted and courageously suffered martyrdom for Christ in 1795, on October 13th, in the village of the same name, Chrysi, which is located just twenty-five kilometers northeast of the beautiful city of Edessa.
