had managed to evangelize a large part of the Eskimo population of Alaska.

The Yup'ik language is spoken in two Orthodox parishes in Alaska and was the language of Saint Olga of Kwethluk, who fell asleep in the Lord in 1979.

Orthodox children who speak Yup'ik had no Orthodox book in their language until the publication of the Potamitis Publishing book "The Life of Christ." Priests who are descendants of the Holy Matushka Olga of Kwethluk and friends of Potamitis Publishing have done the translation.
