The lives of the Saints of the Church prove in practice that the teaching of Christ can be applied by every person for the salvation of their immortal and unique soul. One of the most important things we can do for our children is to teach them by our own example to acquire one of the most blessed habits: to pray the Salutations to the Theotokos daily. March is perhaps the best time of the year to start. By praying the Salutations to the Theotokos, we significantly help our children to love daily communication with the Theotokos, not only in their difficult moments but always. We can say the Salutations while driving, doing chores, or caring for a child who has a fever. One can easily imagine how beautiful it is, for instance, while driving, to hear our children reciting the Salutations to the Theotokos from memory. |
