Most Christians associate Saint Spyridon with Corfu; however, this great Saint is a native of the Holy Island of Cyprus!
"Three hundred years after the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Christ, a priest named Arius appeared in Alexandria, Egypt, who began to spread erroneous teachings about the nature of our Lord. He claimed that Christ was not the Creator, but a creation, just like people, animals, and the earth.
Although Arius was arrogant—that is, he had a very high opinion of himself—he managed to deceive many Christians, who followed him blindly."
How was Saint Spyridon, from a small village that has been occupied by church-haters since 1974, able to show us the miracle of the Holy Trinity?
