Saint Dorothy lived in the 3rd century in Caesarea of Cappadocia, the later well-known city of Saint Basil the Great, modern-day Kayseri in Islamic Turkey. She was martyred for her faith in Christ during the horrific persecutions under Diocletian. Her holy relics are currently in Rome, Italy. Her memory is celebrated on February 6.
